The Drayton Valley Pro Rodeo Society is a local non-profit that works to bring high-quality rodeo events to Drayton Valley and nearby communities. Each year, it draws skilled cowboys and strong stock from across North America, putting on a show that feels true to the roots of the sport.
Rodeo has deep ties here. Drayton Valley has long been shaped by ranching and agriculture, and over the years plenty of local competitors have gone on to build names for themselves in the arena. That hasn’t slowed down. Younger riders and ropers are stepping in, carrying those same traditions forward while carving out their own place in the sport.
